With the slowdown of the economy, many people are heading back into the kitchen in an effort to save their earning and to cook more of their family meals more than ever before. Gone are the nights out at restaurants, the family budgets can’t afford it. It is a good money saving tip for all of us.
A MINI STIR FRY WOK LUAU
With the wok nicely heated up, they ingredients already chopped up and ready to go into the wok, it was a nice afternoon for a cook-out. Two grilled lines up along the side of the wok, the boys were cooking for the girls today. It’s going to be Hawaiian food recipe tonight.
It all started a few days ago when I told my sweetie not to plan anything for tonight, I was going to take her to a sunset set dinner, on the backyard deck.
To say the least, she loved the idea of my little cook-out. After all of her giddy excitement and calming down a bit, she was all smiles. This is where things got out of hand.
From a just a little cook-out for the two of us, a simple little dinner that would quick and easy to do on a wok, she talked me into inviting a few friends. After scoring my points with the cook-out idea how could I say no, even thought I knew what she meant by “just a few friends”
It took a few last minute calls to adjust the plan. Help was definitely going to be needed, lucky there were two of the boys that I could depend on in situations like this. Even that just added to the list of people for that night.
I had to take a bit of teasing after explaining how my planned dinner for two turned into a mini luau; they both know that my sweetie can’t do things in a small way.
While standing at the wok, the ingredients are all chopped and ready to go, it’s a beautiful sunset, Hawaiian music is playing, the girls are anxiously waiting for the boys to start cooking, and it is a wonderful day! Let our luau begin. It’s Hawaiian food recipe tonight.
