ISLAND CHEF WITH THE ISLAND TASTE

hawaiian food bbq koreanEVERYDAY HAWAIIAN FOOD for the children of Hawaii comes from all over the world. Elsewhere these recipes might be considered very special and even exotic.   That’s what it would take for a chef to be a favorite in many of the island kitchens, satisfying these tastes and palates.

 MY FAVORITE ISLAND CHEF

Chef Sam Choy may not be a well known name to anyone outside of Hawaii, but if you pay any attention to the food network you would have seen him a few times with the likes of Emeril Lagasse, both of them preparing a few of the recipes that Hawaii is so well known for.

Still, that’s not why he is my favorite Hawaiian chef, nor is for his other appearance on early morning shows, nor is it for his own Hawaiian cooking which is older than the existence of the food network  Nor is it for his many other accomplishments and accolades, none of those matters, not to me.

So why is he my favorite island chef, very simple, His Hawaiian cook books are filled with Hawaiian recipes, packed with flavors anyone from Hawaii would expects in a Hawaiian recipe. No imitation, fluffy, or fancy Hawaiian recipes from Chef Sam Choy’s cook books!  What you get from any one of his Hawaiian cook books is down home Hawaiian recipes like those he learned from two generations of cooks before him in his family. Good down home Hawaiian comfort food recipes!   That’s all that matters!

MAKE ME A STAR

It was a stroke of luck that I found Chef Sam Choy’s Hawaiian Cook books when I went looking for Hawaiian cook books, after a disastrous attempt at trying to make Hawaiian Beef and Broccoli, and burning the broccoli to almost a crisp.

Those of you who know how to make the “Beef and Broccoli Recipe” know that it is a simple recipe, so “How badly did I screw it up?” you must be asking, Well, I wasn’t eating it and neither was the dog, I couldn’t beg to get him to eat it. But I have improved!

In the eyes of friends I went from “Can he cook?” to “He CAN cook!”  Get it? The first quote is a question, as in doubt!  And the second quote is what friends say now.  And all the credit goes to my favorite Hawaiian chef, Chef Sam Choy!

 CONCLUSION

If you are looking for a “Favorite Hawaiian Chef”, do yourself a favor that you’ll never regret, get your own Chef Sam Choy’s Hawaiian Cook Books.  Don’t fool around with any of the imitation Hawaiian recipes.  The imposters are many, I tried them!  Oh yeah, you’ll also find many other Hawaiian recipes in his Hawaiian cook books that you won’t find anywhere else.

So get yourself the series of Chef Sam Choy’s Hawaiian Cook Books.

You are a fool if you get anything else and at least get “Island Flavors Cook Book”.  Don’t even waste any of your time or waste any of your money with any of the imitations or any of the imposters.

Cook with the freshest ingredients, Cook with the best Hawaiian recipes!
