BOILED TERIYAKI CHICKEN
Oh boy, this is one of my favorite of all other teriyaki chicken recipes, especially when time is short. Why you ask? Well because it takes no time at all to make and it is absolutely simple to prep.
Once I have it slowly boiling I walk away, do whatever else I need to do. Just forget about it! Go out in the yard and enjoy the nice Hawaiian afternoon. WALK AWAY!
Are you asking how I know when the Teriyaki Chicken is done boiling? Well you will love this when you experience it, it’s the smell, the aroma, the fragrance, permeating, over flowing from the kitchen, that wonderful smell travels, probably all the way into the neighbor’s. I may get totally absorb with the yard work but just one whiff of teriyaki chicken, it can’t be missed, that delicious aroma, dinner is ready!
SEE, IT IS EASY
So you can see, it is very easy, takes no time at all. Pot it and forget it! The longest step is thawing our the chicken thighs, which takes about an hour, maybe a little less, I have only roughly timed it. But by no means is it “work”.
For me, this is the way that I do it, throw the frozen chicken thighs into a pot, cover with water and then head out to do my grocery shopping. This teriyaki chicken recipe is great, I don’t even have to do my grocery shopping days ahead, while the chicken thighs are thawing I can get the rest of the ingredients, ginger, garlic, green onions and that special ingredient to give it a burst of extra flavor, Korean chili barbeque paste.
You got to try it, add a tablespoon or two and watch everybody’s eyes light up when they get a taste of this teriyaki chicken recipe! You’ll be a star! They’ll gobble all of it down!
